H2 2022 Roadmap: Building Maple 2.0

In the first half of 2022 Maple moved multi-chain, $1 billion loans were issued, the team doubled in size and launched xMPL, Loans V2 and a new refinancing feature. The team has hit key milestones but we're just getting started and this week shared our roadmap for H2 22.

The long-term goal is to establish Maple as the dominant institutional crypto-capital network by building robust, intuitive and composable lending infrastructure. To work towards that goal over the next 6 months, we’ll focus on entering new markets, growing Maple Solana, improve parts of the product and excitingly develop and deploy Maple 2.0.

Maple 2.0 is modular and flexible, many new features will meet the needs of a wide range of institutional players. This includes fundamental changes to our smart contract architecture, allowing for iterative development of our smart contracts, greater flexibility for Pool Delegates to operate their pools, a re-design of Pool Cover, interoperability of MPL within DeFi and automatic compounding interest.

Loan refinancing now available

This week we shipped a loan refinancing feature, so Borrowers can roll or update existing loans. The feature provides an enhanced experience and greater capital efficiency for Borrowers while giving Pool Delegates more flexibility to manage their pools.
