ICYMI: Week 31 updates from Maple
Welcome to our ICYMI update from Week 31 2022. This week Maven 11 launched a third pool on Maple exclusive to institutions, Nexus Mutual deposited 10% of their treasury into Maple, and Katherine and Quinn took the stage at DeFiCon and Canaccord Genuity 42nd Annual Growth Conference.
New pool exclusive to institutional lenders from Maven 11
This week Maven 11 opened a third credit pool on Maple, exclusive to whitelisted institutional lenders and borrowers. Soon $40M will be issued to a diversified set of profitable trading firms on-chain, providing the transparent risk-adjusted yield opportunities lenders seek.
Across two existing pools and ~$500M loans issued Maven 11 maintains a 100% clean loan book so is perfectly positioned to offer a new yield opportunity for institutional lenders, in turn providing timely credit lines to market-making borrowers. Due to a pull-back from CeFi lenders, rates are higher than before the credit crunch.
Loans will be issued to a diversified set of borrowers with a spotless on-chain credit history. Flow Traders, a leading global market maker, borrow for the first time.
Expertise, borrower set & the built-in transparency of Maple have provided large institutional lenders Gadze Finance, Aqru and Qredo with the confidence to lend $40M at launch. All completed KYC/AML to lend into the pool.
To ensure security and operating efficiency, the pool is created and managed using Qredo's decentralized Multi-Party Computation tech that takes custody of the digital assets on a decentralized network. Qredo solidifies the partnership by allocating $2M at launch.
