ICYMI: Week 36 updates from Maple
This week the team had a valuable week in NYC at DAS, we recapped new product features Maple shipped, and Maven 11 hit three big milestones, including issuing their biggest loan yet to Wintermute.
This week in NYC
DAS, hosted by Blockworks, was the first conference Maple attended and 12 months later we’re back – this time with our very own booth, a team of 7 Mapes and 3 Pool Delegates. We had a great time meeting new people and spreading the word about Maple.
Sid joined a panel to discuss ‘Crypto’s Institutional Lending Market’ alongside Rebecca Rettig from Aave, Joshua Lim from Genesis Trading and Zac Prince from BlockFi.
We also hosted our legendary pancake breakfast with friends both old and new. But we’re just getting started, next week we’ll be at Messari Mainnet in NYC, where Sid will join a panel to discuss the future of yields. Be sure to reach out if you’d like to connect with our team.
September product update: Newly shipped features
We’re building the most robust, versatile and secure DeFi platform. Over the last couple of months we were working hard and shipped key product features:
Refinancing
Open-term loans
Enabled recurring fees for the protocol
Loan amortization
Shorter duration loans
We’re excited to announce that the first open-term loan was issued by Credora to Ledger Prime this week, and can be seen on the Maple WebApp. Read our deep dive into the newly launched product features here.
Maven 11 hit 3 big milestones
This week Maven 11 hit three big milestones. The highlight being the $40M loan issued to Wintermute, which is their biggest on the Maple platform yet.
The team is on a roll, and also issued their second loan to Flow Traders, a publicly listed company. These newly issued loans, including $5 M to DV Group LLC, a prominent TradFi proprietary trading shop with an established crypto arm, pushes the total number of loans issued from the recently launched permission pool to $50M.
Neat comms
Another great mention by @DeFi_Dad about the tokenomics behind the yield on Maple.
Meet Jonathan, who is joining the Maple team as Product Designer.
Next week
We’ll be at Messari Mainnet, where Sid will be speaking on a panel.
We’ll have our first virtual briefing to explore lending opportunities on Maple.
