Welcome to our ICYMI from week 37 2022. Icebreaker opened a $300M capacity pool providing secured debt financing to Bitcoin mining sector
Icebreaker Finance joined Maple to open the first institutional lending pool providing secured debt financing to blue-chip Bitcoin mining and digital asset infrastructure companies.
Targeting public and private blue-chip miners which have effective treasury management and power strategies - the Icebreaker investment committee will thoroughly evaluate borrowers’ financial and operational positions to issue loans with a 12-18 month tenor at 15-20% rates, fully collateralized by real-world and digital assets and have recourse to the borrower.
The pool is open to accredited investors and yield is expected to be +13%, derived from loan interest payments from bitcoin mining and digital asset infrastructure firms in North America, Canada and Australia.
Visit the pool and reach out to Glyn from Icebreaker or Quinn from Maple to join.

Update on the Wintermute hack
We understand Wintermute remains financially strong and do not expect any impact to Lenders in Maple pools. Delegates have been in active communication with Evgeny Gaevoy and the Wintermute team, receiving updates and detailed current financials. Credora published a summary of Wintermute’s financial position based on their real time monitoring software.
Wintermute are now back to normal operations and moving forward with continued strong profitability.
